Six Storied Office Building for Lanka Mineral Sands

The project involved the construction of a six-story office building with a total gross floor area of approximately 1,400 square meters. The scope of work included all aspects of building construction and services, starting from site preparation to the final installation of specialized systems.

The construction began with RCC piling work and a reinforced concrete foundation to ensure structural stability. Rubble work, block/brick masonry, and detailed formwork laid the groundwork for the building’s framework. Interior and exterior finishes included plastering and painting, mineral fiber ceilings, and tiling work, including cement rendering for a polished finish. High-quality aluminum doors and windows were installed to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.

Special attention was given to utility installations, with wall tiling in toilets complementing the cold water supply and drainage systems. The building was equipped with air conditioning, comprehensive electrical services, and a lift installation to meet modern office requirements.

Specialized works such as piling, firefighting systems, sewer and wastewater treatment plant, and lift installation were executed through specialist subcontractors, carefully selected by the contractor and approved by the project engineer.

This office building stands as a modern, well-equipped structure, reflecting the seamless integration of robust construction methods and state-of-the-art facilities.
