Additional Building to the Existing OPD Building of Bathalayaya Divisional Hospital

Project Description

The project involved the construction of a one-story building to expand the existing Outpatient Department (OPD) facilities at Bathalayaya Divisional Hospital. Spanning 2,664 square feet, this new structure began with the construction of plinth beams, followed by comprehensive floor concreting, incorporating anti-termite treatments to ensure long-term durability. The building’s framework was constructed with brick walls reinforced by lintels, and the roofing featured a Zn/Al metal system, complete with gutters and downpipes for effective water drainage. Cement plastering was applied to both internal and external walls, followed by tiling work on walls and floors to enhance the building’s aesthetics and functionality.

In addition to the structural work, the project included the installation of comprehensive plumbing systems, with sanitary wares and sewer connections fitted to ensure proper waste management. Electrical wiring was meticulously executed, with all necessary fixtures installed to meet safety and operational standards. The building’s interior was finished with non-asbestos cement fiberboard ceilings, ensuring a safe and durable overhead covering. Aluminum windows and doors were incorporated for added strength and a modern appearance. Finally, a comprehensive painting process was undertaken to protect and beautify the structure, completing the project to a high standard of quality.
