Renovation of Existing Building & Construction of Extension to the Existing OPD Building of Dewathura Primary Medical Care Unit

This project encompassed a comprehensive renovation and expansion of the existing Outpatient Department (OPD) building to enhance its functionality and capacity. The scope included the construction of a new extension to the OPD, alongside significant upgrades to the existing structure. Key activities involved the demolition of existing structures, laying plinth beams, floor concreting, and applying anti-termite treatments to ensure long-term durability. The project also focused on modernizing the building with new brick walls, reinforced lintels, and a durable Zn/Al metal roof complete with gutters and downpipes for efficient water management.

The interior works included high-quality cement plastering and tiling of walls and floors, installation of sanitary wares, plumbing systems, and sewer connections, as well as comprehensive electrical wiring and fixture installations. To ensure a premium finish, the project also involved painting, aluminum works, and the installation of non-asbestos cement fiber board ceilings. These improvements were executed with meticulous attention to detail, transforming the OPD building into a modern, safe, and functional healthcare facility, ready to meet the demands of the community.
